Economic Forum Replay

At the end of April Kovalcik and Geraghty Wealth Partners hosted an Economic forum to discuss matters that are most pressing to investors. We gained insights on the topics of the U.S. housing market, government spending and inflation as well as an overview of the stock and bond markets. The questions were broad enough in scope that they are still timely today.

Our three esteemed panelists were: Dr. Don Haurin, the chair of the Economics department at OSU; Gary Madich, CFA, the Chief Investment Officer for the Bond Market and Tax Aware Group at J.P. Morgan; and Chris Welch, CFA, a portfolio manager and analyst at Diamond-Hill Investment group. Watch the replay below.

Are homes fairly valued?

What do you look at when considering a stock for a portfolio?

Can the broader economy recover without a housing recovery?

Do we need to worry about our country's increasing debt load?

What are the Strengths and Weaknesses of the US Consumer?

How do you determine if a stock is a good value?

What are the risks for bond investors?

What does it mean for the US economy to be based on manufacturing?
